Marrakech Designs Ltd. is a bespoke design firm specializing in Moroccan decorative art. We are a unique resource for designers seeking to incorporate Moroccan craftsmanship into their projects, offering Moroccan zelliges, moucharby, fretwork and gebs plaster to create interiors enriched by the  geometric patterns, colors and textures that define Morocco’s artistic heritage.

The Moroccan style as we know it today is a  blend of nomadic Berber, Arab-Islamic, and European influences. The decor of traditional riads and small palaces in Marrakech reflects these diverse influences, creatively employing  Morocco’s hand-crafted decorative arts. One of our early inspirations is Bill Willis, the renowned American interior decorator (1937–2009), who helped shape the Modern Moroccan design movement. Drawing from traditional culture while designing for contemporary times, Willis’ work continues to inspire. A Moroccan-style interior can embrace either minimalist or maximalist design, incorporating vibrant color explosions with geometric mosaics or exploring the subtle interplay of intricate shadows cast by moucharabiya woodwork and filigree metalwork.

Our mission is to preserve Morocco’s traditional crafts by providing designers, architects, and individuals with direct access to custom, handcrafted Moroccan details for both interior and garden design. By offering the opportunity to collaborate with Moroccan artisans, we aim to keep ancient decorative arts alive while supporting the artisans and their families.

Our team

Stephanie Rudloe Regalado is the founder of Marrakech Designs, where she collaborates with artisan ateliers in Morocco to create custom mashrabiya, metalwork, zillij tile, and gebs friezes for discerning clients. Since 2000, she has also served as director of Imports from Marrakesh, cultivating a loyal following among architects, designers, and stylists.

Trained in classic interior decoration under the mentorship of William Hodgins Inc. in Boston, Stephanie refined her sensibility as a dealer, decorator, and stylist. Her specialty is mise en scène: whether in gallery, retail, table, or home settings, her approach focuses on the spatial arrangement of every element—from furniture and flower arrangements to color, scent, light, and texture—to create a complete and immersive mood. Whether it’s a custom mosaic order or a consultation on designing a beautiful room, Stephanie cares deeply about even the smallest, most delicate details.

Today, alongside her custom work with Marrakech Designs, Stephanie consults on interior design and renovation projects for private clients, drawing on her extensive experience and a trusted network of artisans in Morocco, New England, and the United Kingdom. With her thoughtful guidance, each project becomes a collaborative and highly personal process that honors the client’s vision and elevates it with artistry and intention.
